Kevin Footer ~ Documentary Film:
Kevin Carrel Footer is a writer, photographer and video
maker from Oakland, California. Between 1992 and 2007, he lived in Argentina,
during which time he became a columnist for the "Buenos Aires Herald."
Those columns will soon be collected and published in a book about his experiences
in Argentina.
Because he knows first hand about the support artists require to flourish
and succeed, he founded Intrepid Patrol Artist Management in 2006 to represent
and manage the careers of extraordinary artists from Latin America who deserve
worldwide recognition. Intrepid Patrol currently works with Latin Grammy-nominated
Argentine vocalist Maria Volonte, celebrated folclore guitarist/composer
Raul Carnota, tango singer Horacio Molina, and the premier tango-fusion
group Tangoloco.
On hearing for the first time about the Kids' Chalk Art Project, he immediately
realized the idea's great potential not only to support art education in
the schools, but also to celebrate whimsy and playfulness in an all-too-serious
world. He is currently making a documentary about the project.
